SmartSolar MPPT 75/10 is a solar charge controller with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for 12/24 V batteries, with a charge current of 10 A and a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 75 V. The built-in Bluetooth and the VE.Direct port allow configuration and monitoring with VictronConnect.
MPPT technology constantly monitors the voltage and current of the solar (PV) panels and tracks the maximum power point; the benefit is most visible when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity changes continuously. The controller can also recharge a deeply discharged battery that is not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged, and can operate from a battery voltage of 0 V.
With built-in Bluetooth, the controller can be configured and monitored remotely with a smartphone or another device via VictronConnect. If the installation is connected to the internet through a GX device, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal provides access to all data; for locations without an internet connection, the GlobalLink 520 device can be used. VictronConnect and VRM are free of charge.
The load output prevents excessive discharge of the batteries: the voltage at which the loads are disconnected is configurable. The BatteryLife algorithm attempts a full recharge every day and, if this does not succeed in poor weather, gradually raises the disconnect voltage to protect the battery and extend its service life. The battery temperature sensor is optional (Smart Battery Sense).
