Wind 25.3+ is a Bornay wind power system package made up of the 3-blade 5 kW wind turbine, the Wind+ MPPT charge controller, the Wind+ anemometer and a 12 m self-supporting tower. It is designed to charge 24 V or 48 V battery banks in off-grid installations, rural electrification and hybrid wind-solar systems.

• Turbine rated power: 5000 W at 12 m/s
• Rotor diameter: 4.05 m, 3 fiberglass and carbon blades
• Battery voltage: 24 V or 48 V DC
• Output protection: 125 A fuse
• Wind speed: start-up at 3 m/s, automatic braking at 14 m/s
• Tower: self-supporting square, 12 m (4 x 3 m)

Package contents:

• Wind 25.3+ wind turbine: 3 blades, three-phase neodymium permanent magnet alternator, 5000 W, 220 Vac
• Wind+ MPPT charge controller: three-phase 220 Vac input, DC output for the battery bank, with built-in braking resistors
• Wind+ anemometer: wind speed sensor
• 12 m self-supporting square tower: 4 sections of 3 m, with tower top adapter

Batteries and inverter are not included.

MPPT controller and control:

The controller converts the three-phase energy of the turbine into direct current for battery charging and constantly controls the rotor speed, keeping MPPT operation whenever possible.

• Internal braking resistors up to 10000 W
• Touch screen for parameter display and basic settings
• Emergency stop button and remote stop via external connector
• Quiet mode with 3 speed reduction levels
• Automatic stop at high wind, maximum speed exceeded, internal temperature, overcurrent or overvoltage

Monitoring and communication:

• Ports: 1 x Mini USB type B, 1 x RS232, 2 x RS485
• Protocol: Modbus RTU, Bornay Monitor software
• Bluetooth: optional, with the Bornay Bluetooth adapter
• Relay: potential-free, NO, NC, COM contacts
