BlueSolar MPPT 100/20 - MPPT solar charge controller for 12/24/48 V batteries

BlueSolar MPPT 100/20 is a solar charge controller with maximum power point tracking (MPPT), for 12/24/48 V batteries, with a charge current of 20 A and a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 100 V. The VE.Direct port allows connection to a monitoring device, and Bluetooth is added via a dongle.

MPPT technology continuously monitors the voltage and current of the solar panels (PV) and tracks the maximum power point, and the advantage is most visible when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity keeps changing. The controller can also recharge a deeply discharged battery that is not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged, and can operate from a battery voltage of 0 V.

The controller has no built-in Bluetooth; with a VE.Direct to Bluetooth Smart dongle, the information (for example battery status and solar panel power) can be viewed wirelessly on iOS and Android devices through the VictronConnect app. If the installation is connected to the internet through a GX device, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal gives access to the controller data; for locations without an internet connection, GlobalLink 520 can be used.

The load output prevents excessive discharge of the batteries: the voltage at which the loads are disconnected is configurable. The BatteryLife algorithm tries a full recharge every day and, if this fails in unfavourable weather, gradually raises the disconnect voltage to protect the battery and extend its service life.
