Victron Orion-Tr 48/24-5A (120W) is a galvanically isolated DC-DC converter with an input voltage of 32-70 V and an adjustable output voltage in the range 18-30 V. It features remote on/off control and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current.
The remote on/off control removes the need for a high-voltage switch on the input cables and can be operated with a low-power switch or, for example, with the engine's on/off switch. All models are short-circuit protected and can be installed in parallel to increase the output current; the number of units connected in parallel is not limited.
The output current is reduced at high ambient temperatures. IP43 protection is achieved when the converter is installed with the screw terminals facing downwards. The screw terminals require no special tools for installation. The output voltage is adjustable, and the converter is not intended for battery charging.
