The Orion-Tr 48/12-9A (110W) is a galvanically isolated DC-DC converter that converts the 48 V input voltage to 12 V and delivers a continuous output current of 9 A. It has a remote on/off terminal, is short-circuit protected and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current.
The remote on/off removes the need for a high-current switch in the input wiring and can be operated with a low-power switch or, for example, with the engine on/off switch (see the manual).
All models are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current; the number of units connected in parallel is unlimited. The output current is reduced at high ambient temperatures. The IP43 protection rating applies when the converter is installed with the screw terminals facing down. The screw terminals do not require special tools for installation. The output voltage is adjustable, and the product is not intended for battery charging; for charging, an Orion-Tr Smart is recommended.
