Orion-Tr 24/48-2,5A (120W) is a galvanically isolated DC-DC converter that converts the 24 V input voltage to 48 V and delivers a continuous output current of 2.5 A. It has a terminal for remote on/off control, is short-circuit protected and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current.
Remote on/off control eliminates the need for a high-current switch in the input wiring and can be operated with a low-power switch or, for example, with the engine's on/off switch (see the manual).
All models are short-circuit proof and can be connected in parallel to increase the output current; the number of units connected in parallel is unlimited. The output current is reduced at high ambient temperatures. The IP43 protection rating applies when the converter is installed with the screw terminals facing down. The screw terminals do not require special tools for installation. The output voltage is adjustable, but the product is not intended for charging batteries; an Orion-Tr Smart is recommended for charging.
