Victron Inverter RS 48/6000 230V Smart Solar is a combination of a 48 V DC, 6 kVA sine-wave inverter at 230 V AC and a high-voltage MPPT solar charger with a maximum solar charging power of 4000 W. It has a display, Bluetooth, VE.Can and VE.Direct.
The inverter produces a perfect sine wave, capable of supplying high-power appliances. It is powered by a bidirectional DC-DC converter, which can charge the battery when surplus solar energy is available or convert energy from the battery when needed. The MPPT operating voltage range is 65-450 V, with a PV start-up voltage of 120 V. Thanks to high-frequency technology, the inverter weighs only 11 kg and offers excellent efficiency, low standby power and very quiet operation.
The parameters can be read on the display or, via Bluetooth, with a smartphone or another compatible device; settings are changed with VictronConnect. The VE.Can port is used to connect to a GX device for system monitoring, data logging and remote firmware updates, and the VE.Direct port to connect to the GlobalLink 520. Both parallel PV strings connected to the MC4 connectors can be isolated with the PV isolator built into the bottom of the unit.
The I/O connections include a programmable relay, a temperature sensor and a voltage sensor; the remote input can also be configured for the Victron smallBMS. Up to 12 units can be connected in parallel and, in a three-phase configuration, up to 4 units per phase.
