Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) at module level can increase energy production by 5-25%. The operating status of each photovoltaic module can be monitored in real time to detect problems quickly, and communication over the PV cables removes the need for extra communication cables.

The rapid shutdown function, which quickly brings the DC voltage of the PV array down to a safe range, and the monitoring are only available when the optimizer is used with an optimizer concentrator. The cables have a 4.0 mm² cross-section, with 70 cm on the input and 100 cm on the output, and the connectors are MC4 or compatible.
